Throughout your time on campus, you have no doubt noticed "Class of _______" in a variety of places. Most of these gifts were given by classes celebrating their 50th reunion. Examples are the Class of 1950 Main Lounge in Memorial Union and Class of 1918 Marsh in the Arboretum. What we don't see is recognition of the unrestricted gifts that are made to the University of Wisconsin-Madison every day.
While we were busy selecting classes, finding our classrooms, taking notes and deciding whether to take the 80 up Bascom Hill, gifts were being made to support technology, programs, research and resources that shaped our UW-Madison experience.
For several years, members of the senior classes have made gifts as well. Now it is our turn to join the tradition of giving and make a difference.
